Knitted in Opal Uni which is the perfect sock yarn, the pattern was easy and effective.
It's turned out a bit big, so the other half of the pair is being made with a smaller cuff but same size foot.

I'm a bit late finishing my Christmas presents but I hope it was worth the wait.
The pattern is 'brickwork' by Ilga Leja, the yarn is 4-ply cashmere by the Knitting Goddess.
I was expecting the yarn to be a bit thicker, this knitted as lace wieght in my opinion but the colours are just what I wanted. I've therefore ended up with a lace scarf which was not my intention in the first place but it will be useful I hope.
The colour bled onto my hands quite a bit so I've washed the whole thing, will be keeping fingers crossed that I've done the trick or it won't be much of a present!

Here is my stripy Noro Kureyon jumper; I'm alternating two balls of wool with two rows of one then two from the other (with a bit of cheating here and there).
The effect is very pleasing.
I was inspired by this here

new hat

The yarn is fantastic; warm, light and soft. Described as Aran/worsted weight it's actually pretty chunky and would make a jacket that you would live in.
Hat has turned out to be very useful over the holidays and will be seeing plenty of outings in 2007.
