Ene's Shawl

Ene's Shawl

For my second shawl I chose one that starts with 350 stitches and decreases and decreases. In fact I did not prefer working this way round when it actually came to it.
The pattern is Ene's Shawl from Scarf Style using 1 skein Poshyarn Beatrice in a shade called Memories(cashmere/silk) 690 yds and US 7 Denises.
I loved the yarn and the pattern for the border, however the main body of the shawl and I never reallly got on; didn't manage to get into the swing of it. However now it's done I am pleased with the result despite the fact that I gained a few stitches in the middle and so it's not perfect . It's a Christmas present for a dear friend and I hope it will be treasured.

Here and There Cables

Here and There Cables

The pattern is called Here and There Cables from Scarf Style from Interweave Press. I can't say that I enjoyed knitting it, but the overall effect is amazing. Although the pattern itself is very simple it has produced a rather impressive scarf and with blocking the curves can really be appreciated.
The only snag to this is that if it is worn on a rainy day it will probably concertina back to half it's current width.

Alpaca, my favourite!

With thanks to ebay this lovely soft squidgy alpaca arrived in the post.
I am known in certain circles as The Alpcaca Woman as seem to have been using quite a lot lately.
Big decision is what to do with it.
