Just what I hoped for when I started

Shetland Triangle

Very unusual to end up with exactly what I wanted from a project.
This is simple to knit but looks anything but. Ideal for a first lace project.
Pattern: Shetland Triangle by Evelyn A Clark from Wrap Style.
Yarn: Blue Sky Alpaca's Alpaca & Silk in Ruby 4 skeins (actually 3 and a tiny bit). Soft without being even slightly fluffy with a slight sheen that helps show off the colour.
Needles: Denise interchangeable US7 (handy as the rows got longer and longer)
Alterations to pattern: 11 repeats of main pattern - not 8 as in the book. Also left out last 2 rows of border so as to have less pointy points.
Finished size: Width 67ins (170cms),depth of centre back 30 ins(77cms)
Thanks to Grumperina for the inspiration.

I'm very pleased with the way this has turned out, it drapes well and all I need now is somewhere to wear it to.

As if my magic the little crumpled heap has transformed into this. A fair amount of pulling and tugging was involved in the process too.

Shetland triangle looking like corrugated cardboard, it's growing quickly at this point and as it's my first attempt at lace, looking ok.
